Our condo is officially under contract, only a week after we put it on the market! We still have to get through the inspection, but hopefully this deal will go through. This means we have to move into an apartment for a few months and probably put most of our furniture in storage, but it's a price we're willing to pay to not have to worry about selling the condo.
We have our pre-construction meeting today and the foundation will likely be poured within a few days.

Grading
Not too much change over the last week. They have graded the lot and it looks like they are ready to frame the foundation.

New House
As most of you know, we are building a new house in Smyrna and thought this website would be a great place to keep you all posted on the progress.
Here is John standing on our lot:
There is a bulldozer sitting on the lot now. You can see the other homes that will be behind us. There is a park area between our house and the houses you see here.
This is a picture of another house in the development that looks just like ours will look when it's finished (same elevation, brick, color scheme, but minus the telephone pole in the front yard):
We are really excited about the house! The condo is going on the market tomorrow. Know anyone who wants a condo in Midtown?
Check back for weekly (hopefully) updates on the construction progress.
