Goodbye to the Green Sofa

This week we finally said goodbye to the green sofa that Lauren bought when she first moved to Nashville for law school. It was time for something a little nicer and less.... green. Here are a few pictures of the new furniture (sorry the pictures are so dark, our next project is lighting):

We had a fun weekend celebrating Lauren's birthday. It started with Taqueria on Friday night and the movie Juno (which is fantastic). Saturday we spent much of the day playing with one of Lauren's birthday presents - Rock Band for Playstation - and had a wonderful dinner at Sotto Sotto. This afternoon we went to a Georgia Tech basketball game and had courtside seats right behind the announcers. We are pretty sure our legs were featured several times on TV during the game.

Henry's Senior Moment

We don't have kids to take pictures of or blog about, but we do have our cat Henry, so we're dedicating this blog entry to him.

It's hard to believe, but Henry is almost 15 years old. We decided to take him to the vet for a checkup and ended up being talked into signing Henry up for a "senior comprehensive panel," which I can tell you that Henry did not enjoy. His test results revealed that Henry has arthritis, a heart murmur, and a kidney infection. In a matter of hours, he went from being our easy, low maintenance cat, to a cat that is on numerous prescription medications and will be a regular visitor at Cat Care of Vinings.

Today, John & I took Henry back to the vet to learn how to give him a pill because he refuses to take an antibiotic mixed in with his food. With the help of a device called the "pill pusher," it's actually not too difficult, and will hopefully be the solution to making sure that Henry gets his medicine and recovers quickly.

For all of Henry's fans out there, here are a few pictures:
