Weekend in Austin

We had a great time in Austin last weekend visiting our friends Jonathan and Devon. While we were there, we drove out to Oasis for lunch and great margaritas, and Devon and I hit the shops on South Congress while the guys watched football. We had dinner at Moonshine, which was very tasty.
A few weeks ago, our neighborhood had its own "Screen on the Green" in the park behind our house. Here is a picture of the movie screen going up behind our fence. The feature presentation was "The Goonies," which I'm pretty sure we hadn't seen in at least 15 years. It was a great idea for a neighborhood get-together.

Three-Day Weekend

We love our three-day weekends! We were in town this weekend, which was very relaxing. We started the weekend with dinner Friday night at our new favorite sushi place. Saturday, we watched tons of football. John enjoyed his game much more than I enjoyed mine - I think it is going to be a long season for the Wolverines. On Sunday, Meagan and Eric came over with baby Adam, our new best bud. Today we have just been lazy and are enjoying a day off from work (although, as I write this, John is at the office for his fantasy football draft).

I got a new camera this weekend because I have signed up for a photography class at Emory. Here are a few of the first shots with the new camera:
